The open back and distinct outline welcome OUR BENCH in many different contexts. While the bench does attract the eye, it also works in harmony with its surroundings in indoor and outdoor spaces.

With this timeless, award-winning classic, designer Ida L. Hildebrand aimed to create a furniture collection in a minimalist architectural clean expression. Key is its open structure backrest. It features a bent metal sheet that is produced using a method also used to make Danish windmills. The backrest’s fantastic strength allows for a seamless design. No reinforcement components are necessary.

The collection is made by the hands of skilled craftsmen in Scandinavia with a passion for furniture. The sofa is designed with a refined metal-string weave. The collection features a custom coating that makes the furniture extremely durable as in all Friends & Founders metal and outdoor products. The powder coatings are UV-resistant so they are suitable for sunny environments.

A matte and slightly granulated surface-finish gives the collection a sophisticated feel and appearance. The coating has a slight sparkling of minerals that gives the surface more depth and makes the feel softer.
