Product description
Initially introduced in 1938, Little Petra immediately won praise at the Copenhagen Cabinetmakers Guild Exhibition and then won awards at exhibitions in New York and Berlin. It is one of only a few designs of architect Viggo Boesen, in the thirties was associated with distinctive design aesthetics of Denmark, called funkis- style. Distinguished by a softer, more abundant, organic aesthetic that challenged the minimalist approach to Bauhaus.
Named after the mother-in-law of Boesen, Little Petra is indeed surprisingly small and fits in all kinds of spaces, interiors and environments. Low on the ground, open and comprehensive, it embodies the essence of a lounge chair, making all kinds of sitting positions possible in every conceivable cozy environment. A lot of work has been done to guarantee the greatest comfort, from the chair to the upholstery. The legs of the chair respect the love of Boesen for natural materials and are made of oak or walnut. The result is a captivating armchair that invites you to stay.
