HAY CPH20 - Dia 90cm

The HAY CPH (90 cm) designed by Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec. In Denmark there is a beautiful tradition, which is characteristic of the strength of the country in the field of design and design. When a school or university starts using a new building, a designer is asked to design the complete furniture. In line with this tradition, the Københavns Universitet in Copenhagen asked Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec if they could think about the design of the new Faculty of Humanities. Naturally, the new interior should be a stylish ode to Scandinavian design, but what the university considered more important was that the furniture would give the faculty a homely atmosphere. As a result, the university hopes to reduce the number of students who stop early with their studies.

We do not know whether this has happened, but it will not be the art of Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec. They designed different chairs, desks and tables that are modern, stylish and easy to produce. But above all, they created the homely appearance by choosing oak furniture. In combination with a simple and recognizable design, they created a collection that comes into its own at both the Københavns Universitet and in the living room.

This round dining table has the distinctive design of the CPH Series, but above all, it can be fully adapted to your needs. The base is made of solid oak that is available in four versions (soaped, black stained, lacquered and matt lacquered). The top is also made of oak and has wood veneer, linoleum or laminate in different colors (see below). The table has a diameter of 90 centimeters and is 74 centimeters high. The three slanted legs allow you to easily place five to six chairs around the table. This table is also available with a diameter of 120 centimeters.

The CPH 20 Dining Table 90 is designed for the University of Copenhagen, but has also been given a permanent spot in the HAY collection. It turned out to be a good move, because the tables and chairs from the CPH Series are popular with a large audience because of their basic design. Moreover, the furniture is very affordable, because during production a lot of attention is paid to the balance between quality and costs. This not only applies to this series, but also to the entire HAY collection. This Danish design brand has existed since 2002 and has since its inception no secret of making good design accessible to a large audience. By working together with top designers such as Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, HAY succeeds time and time again in achieving this goal and in this way building up a very varied and contemporary collection.
